The Joint Rescue Coordination Centres ( _no. Hovedredningssentralene) are two independent government agencies responsible for coordinating search and rescue operations in Norway. Reporting to the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police, the two agencies are

* The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre of North Norway located in Bodø
* The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre of Southern Norway located in Sola

Jurisdiction between the two agencies goes through 65 degrees North. They are able to call upon a large range of government agencies, volunteer rescue organisations and private companies, each with specialized resources for various aspects within search and rescue. The coordination may also be sent to one of 28 local rescue coordination centres.
