John Perrin

John Perrin

John Stephenson Perrin ("Jack")] (February 4, 1898 - June 24, 1969) was an utility player in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the Boston Red Sox during the by|1921 season. Listed at 5' 9" 160 lb., Perrin batted left-handed and threw right-handed. A native of Escanaba, Michigan, he attended University of Michigan.

A two-sport star at Michigan, Perrin appeared in four games with the 1921 Red Sox as a backup for regular right fielder Shano Collins. He went 3-for-13 (.231) with three runs and one RBI without extrabases.

Following his baseball career, Perrin played as a fullback/quarterback for the Hartford Blues of the National Football League. Perrin died at the age of 71 in Detroit, Michigan.
