Jeffrey L. Fisher is an American law professor and U.S. Supreme Court litigator. He has argued several and worked on dozens of other cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently co-director of the Stanford Law School Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.

Work Experience

Mr. Fisher received a B.A. from Duke University in 1992 and a J.D. from Michigan Law School in 1997, where he was a Notes Editor of the Michigan Law Review. He was a law clerk for Judge Stephen Reinhardt of U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit during the 1997-98 Term. He also clerked for Justice John Paul Stevens of the Supreme Court of the United States during the 1998-99 Term. He was an associate, then a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, in Seattle, from 1999-2006. He has previously argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in "Kennedy v. Louisiana", "Burton v. Waddington", "United States v. Gonzalez-Lopez", "Davis v. Washington", "Blakely v. Washington", and "Crawford v. Washington", and is the lawyer of record in "Herring v. United States".
