Jackson micropolitan area

The Jackson Micropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of two counties – one in Wyoming and one in Idaho, anchored by the town of Jackson.

As of the 2000 census, the μSA had a population of 24,250 (though a July 1, 2007 estimate placed the population at 28,351). Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 24,250 people, 9,766 households, and 5,638 families residing within the μSA. The racial makeup of the μSA was 93.03% White, 0.15% African American, 0.54% Native American, 0.45% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 4.63% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.79% of the population.

The median income for a household in the μSA was $48,291, and the median income for a family was $54,882. Males had a median income of $33,440 versus $25,688 for females. The per capita income for the μSA was $28,019.
