Esther John

Esther John was a Christian nurse. [ [http://newsaints.faithweb.com/noncatholic.htm in Catholic community] ] She is counted in ten most famous Christian martyrs of the present day.

Brief

She was born Qamar Zia on 14th of the December 1929 in British India. During her education in Missionary she studied Christianity. During Reading of The Book of Isaiah she left Islam and adopted Christianity. She faced many problems from her family, who migrated to newly born Pakistan in 1947. She had to leave her home and family and move to Chichawatni. Here she started welfare work, and was very famous in the area. She was found dead on 2nd of February, 1960.

*Ten 20th century Christian martyrs from across the world are depicted in statues above the Great West Door of Westminster Abbey in London. Unveiled in 1998 by Her Majesty The Queen of UK. She was also chosen in ten martyrs. The list of ten martyrs is given below:
