Gail R. Martin

Professor Gail R. Martin, is in charge of the developmental biology program at the University of California, San Francisco. Martin is attributed with coining the term "embryonic stem cell".

Career

*1971 - Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
*Early 1970s - postdoctoral research at Martin Evans laboratory, University College London.
*1976 - University of California, San Francisco, and became Professor in the Department of Anatomy, and she is now in charge of the PIBS Program in Developmental Biology.

*1991 - Guggenheim Fellowship
