The Revolution is an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting to the areas of Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside in Greater Manchester, England. Originally owned by the Oldham Evening Chronicle and UKRD (both 50% shareholders), it takes its name from the Industrial Revolution, in which the region took a major role, and the initial letters of its three main target areas - Revolution.

The signal comes from the Oldham Civic Centre.

The station initially launched with a general pop and rock format, but in late 2004 this changed to a more specialist rock and indie music format with the commencement of former Inspiral Carpets keyboard player Clint Boon's role as head of music. Boon has since left the station for a rival, Xfm Manchester.

After a significant fall in reach to only 3% and a subsequent downturn in revenue, UKRD and The Oldham Chronicle have offloaded the station. All shares have been purchased by Manchester radio stalwart Steve Penk, who has flipped the station back to its original Adult Contemporary format. The station relaunched as "The All New 96.2 The Revolution" at 6am on Monday September 15th 2008.

The team behind the "old" alternative Revolution plan to relaunch the station online, likely to be called "Radio Republic".
