Y Mabinogi is a graphic novel adaptation of the 2003 film, which is in turn based on the classic Welsh tales known as The Mabinogion. It is the first Welsh-language graphic novel, written by Wales-based writer/artist Mike Collins.

Set in Wales

Part III of the six-issue limited series titled "Wisdom" (starring the character Pete Wisdom) concerns itself with Wales.

Graphic Novelist Carol Swain, published by Fantagraphics, writes largely autobiographical books set in Wales.

While not necessarily set in Wales, Marvel Comics refers to a realm alternately known as Avalon, Otherworld, and Annwn. See Avalon (Marvel Comics).

Welsh Characters

The Marvel Comics character Pixie (Megan Gwynn) is a Welsh teenager and part of the New X-Men team.

The character Captain Britain often clashes with the Welsh anti-superhero police officer Dai Thomas.

In Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers series, the character Shining Knight is portrayed as a knight of Camelot; going back to King Arthur's Welsh roots, all of the Knights of the Round Table speak Welsh, including the Shining Knight (called Sir Ystin, the Welsh version of the name "Justin").

Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. II, mentions a Cardiff regiment among the various parties fighting the alien invaders. The third installation, called The Black Dossier, also mentions several items related to Welsh history: the character "Jimmy" (Bond) mentions that the new government has kept remnants of the old gov't, such as a "special village in Wales"; the Orlando segment mentions Brutus's founding Celtic Britain, Julius Caesar's "failed" campaign to conquer Britain, Claudius's successful campaign, Julian declaring Britain a pagan nation, Merlin, Arthur (as son of the Cornish Uther) - whose death ushers in the "Dark Ages"; it mentions the archers of Agincourt, many of whom were recruited from Wales; finally, it states that the character Johnny Night was involved in some "Welsh set-up."
