Tayshet

Tayshet ( _ru. Тайше́т) is a town and a railroad junction in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. The name comes from the river of the same name on which the town stands and means, in the Ket language, "cold river". Population: 38,535 (2002 Census); 35,000 (1974 est.).
