Fremont Christian School (also known as FCS), is a private Evangelical Christian School located in Fremont, California, USA. The school was founded in 1967. It serves preschool through 12th grade. The current secondary principal is Ms. Meyer and the secondary Vice Principal is Mr. Brown. The school is located on Thornton Ave. The typical schedule of a secondary campus student consists of 7 periods including lunch. Each period is 45 minutes long with the exception on chapel days which each class is 40 minutes each. In 2005, Fremont Christian church changed their name from First Assembly of God to Harbor Light. It is currently striving to get WASC accreditation. They are also currently constructing two high tech science labs. They will be fully equipped. They will be developing a new biotech class that will begin in 2008-2009. These labs are part of plans to reconstruct the secondary campus over a period of time.

Some notable teachers that have been at FCS for some time are Mr. Romero, sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Medellin, high school Spanish teacher, Mr.Liston, the U.S. History and Government teacher, and Mrs. Lunde, 2nd grade teacher.

Disciplinary Action

Mr. Madan has been at Fremont Christian School for two years, not only did he find a way of keeping students out of trouble, he also included harsher punishment for those who still did not obey. These changes will take effect in 2009. Mr. Madan is not your typical principal. He does not tolerate disobedience at all. If someone disobeys any rule especially fowl language they will lose their entire lunch for the day. This means that they will not be able to play with their friends, play outside, or serve detention [thus resulting in another detention] , they are required to sit in the office and eat their lunch quietly. They may not use any electronic devices, unless one is needed to do homework.

Extracurricular activities

Athletics

The school colors are cardinal red and silver and the mascot is the warrior. Fremont Christian School belongs to the Private School Athletic League (PSAL), which is composed of nine private schools in the area. The PSAL is a league of the Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. In the early 1990s the gym floor was carpet and later changed to rubber similar to the material under "cushioned" tennis courts. The soccer/baseball field and the softball field are currently regular grass. The field is going to be changed to artificial turf in the summer of 2008. In addition, covered seating will replace the bleachers that are currently there. The gym will be reconstructed in the coming years according to the pre-established construction plan. FCS is going to change leagues in 2008-2009. The school has many talented athletes and coaches.
