Capitol College is a fifty-two acre school specializing in degree programs of engineering, computer sciences, information technologies, and business which is located in unincorporated Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, near Laurel. It was founded in 1927 as a correspondence school, the Capitol Radio Electronics Institute (19 years before the Engineers' Council for Professional Development began its accreditation program for technical institutes), and added a residence school five years later. Commuting students may take approved courses at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center. Capitol College also has an articulated partnership with the College of Southern Maryland.
