Petar Naumoski

Petar Naumoski (Macedonian: Петар Наумоски, Petar Naumoski) (born 27 August 1968 in Prilep, SR Macedonia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Macedonian basketball player who had successful years especially in Turkey and Italy. He is a 1.94 m point-guard and a very skillful playmaker. He once served as Sport Minister of the Republic of Macedonia. He also has a Turkish passport by the name of Namık Polat, as well as Italian citizenship.[1]

In June 2007, some Turkish newspapers claimed that Efes Pilsen is considering him as the new head coach of the club replacing Oktay Mahmuti.[2] However, the Turkish club opted for David Blatt.
