Pipedreams

"Pipedreams" is a radio music program produced and distributed by American Public Media. The program is available on APM stations, and archived programs via streaming audio on the [http://www.pipedreams.org program website] .

Each 90-minute show features organ music and centers around a theme such as a particular organ, venue, organ maker, performer, composer, period, etc.

The program is hosted by [http://pipedreams.publicradio.org/about/#Host Michael Barone] whose witty remarks, sonorous voice and syncopated speaking style contribute to the program's personality, captivating audiences to listen to him as much as to the music.

Michael Barone has been recognized with several distinguished awards for his contributions and dedication to the pipe organ:::*1996 — American Guild of Organists President's Award::*1997 — Organ Historical Society Distinguished Service Award ::*2001 — ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award::*2002 — Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
