American Iron Magazine is an American motorcycle magazine specializing in the coverage of American-made motorcycles including Harley-Davidson, Indian and Big Dog Motorcycles. AIM standardly contains columns by Editor-in-Chief Buzz Kanter, Editor Chris Maida, and female motorcyclists Genevieve Schmitt and Stephanie Feld, as well as standard tech articles by featured writers Donny Peterson and Tom Johnson. Typical articles include how-to stories on motorcycle repairs and maintenance, classic bikes, custom builds, motorcycle reviews, motorcycle product/accessory reviews, events, the Hog Helpline for tech questions, and recommendations on routes for motorcycle enthusiasts.

American Iron Magazine offers the highest quality photography and writing in the field of American V-Twin oriented magazines.

The editors of American Iron Magazine are proud of their policies in regards to both safety and family-friendly content. AIM's pictures, graphics, and language are moderate and appropriate for an adult to share the hobby of motorcycling with his or her family.

American Iron Magazine features a wide blend of editorial ranging from the latest new American-made motorcycles to customized and classic motorcycles, tech and how-to articles, product reviews, tours and more. It is widely considered to be the "Harley bible" of motorcycle consumer magazines.

Launched in 1989 in California, the poorly performing American Iron Magazine was purchased by Buzz Kanter and his TAM Communications in 1991 and moved to Connecticut, where it is still published at 1010 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905. Under Kanter's leadership American Iron Magazine grew in quality, content and sales to become the best selling Harley-oriented magazine in the world.

American Iron Magazine has two sister publications, [http://www.RoadBikemag.com RoadBike] (a magazine in similar style focused on the metric/import market) and American Iron Retailer (a motorcycle business magazine of advice, ideas, and trends).
