History

The ICEE machine was invented in the early 1960's by #REDIRECT Omar Knedlik in Coffeyville, KS. He had been placing bottles of soda in his freezer until they were frozen since he didn't have a soda fountain. The frozen drinks were extremely popular and he soon realized that he needed a machine to make the product. After 5 years, he had invented the Icee Machine. By the mid-60's, 300 Icee machines has been manufactured. [http://www.icee.com/story.asp]
