Carl Marcellino

Carl Marcellino

Carl L. Marcellino (born December 23, 1942) is a member of the New York State Senate. He represents the 5th Senate District which comprises parts of Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island. Marcellino is a Republican who was first elected to the Senate in a special election in March 1995, following the resignation of Ralph Marino. Prior to serving in the State Senate he was Oyster Bay town clerk.

Marcellino was born in Brooklyn, New York. He worked as a teacher and administrator in the New York City school system before seeking political office. Marcellino and his wife, Patricia, have two children, Jean and Carl.
