42355 Typhon (pronEng|ˈtaɪfɒn, from _la. Tȳphōn, _gr. "Τυφών") is a Scattered disc object that was discovered on February 5, 2002 by the NEAT program. It is named after the monster of Greek myth, Typhon.

Echidna

Typhon has a single known satellite known as (42355) Typhon I Echidna (pronEng|ɪˈkɪdnə, from _gr. "Έχιδνα"). It orbits its primary at ~1300 km, completing one orbit in about 11 days. It's diameter is estimated to be 78±8 km.
