European Transmission System Operators

The European Transmission System Operators (ETSO) is an association of Europe's transmission system operators (TSOs).

The association was founded in 1999 in response to the emergence of the Internal Electricity Market (IEM) within the European Union, by ATSOI, UKTSOA, NORDEL and UCTE, representing some of Europe's regional TSOs.

The association has since expanded several times and, as of 2006, the following organisations are members:
