Error floor

Error floor

The error floor phenomenon occurs when the error probability of a given code does not approach 0 as quickly for medium to high Signal-to-noise ratio as it does at lower SNR. Error floor primarily affects codes with low weight codewords, such as LDPC and Turbo codes.
