Anastas Jovanović

Anastas Jovanović (1817-1899) was the greatest Serbian photographer of his time. He is especially renowned for his portraits of famous Serbs.

Jovanović was of Bulgarian origin, born in Vratsa, while his father was from Berkovitsa, but he moved to Serbia at age 14.
