Lamington Road

Lamington Road, named after Lord Lamington, the Governor of Bombay between 1903 and 1907, is a busy thoroughfare near Grant Road station in Mumbai's Western Railway. It is famous for its wholesale (and retail) market in electronics goods. See also Royal Opera House (Mumbai). Lamington road is the hub for computer hardware and software in Mumbai. A peak into the road streets full of computer parts right from the oldest and outdated stuff to the latest and pirated stuff. It stretches right from Mumbai Central to Opera House. Its original name now is Dr. Babasaheb Bhadkamkar marg there's a police station named Dr. Babasaheb Bhadkamkar marg police station, which has a police colony attached to it.It is the address of famous theaters such as the Minerva, Apsara, and Novelty as well as some B and C grade theatres such as the Naaz. It also has a well known Saibaba temple and DGT High School (Marathi medium).
