The University of Findlay is a
private university located in the city of Findlay in Hancock County,Ohio ,United States . It was affiliated with the Churches of God, General Conference, and was founded in 1882 by the city of Findlay and the Churches of God, General Conference. Findlay offers more than 65 areas of undergraduate study. Some of its most popular majors include: business, education, equestrian studies, pre-veterinary medicine, nuclear medicine technology, and environmental safety and occupational health management. Its equestrian studies program is nationally recognized. The University also houses theMazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books , which contains the largest collection ofchildren's book illustration s in the country.Facilities
The main campus sits on more than 72 acres on North Main Street in
Findlay, Ohio . The University also operates a 52 acre facility (including 20 leased acres) on the east side of Findlay, which houses the English equestrian studies program; a convert|152|acre|km2|sing=on farm eight miles (13 km) south of the main campus, which houses the Western equestrian studies, and pre-veterinary medicine programs; the Environmental Resource Training Center sits on convert|5|acre|m2 northeast of town on State Route 12, and provides hands-on training simulations for students in the environmental, safety and occupational health management major, as well as fire departments and HazMat teams from across the country.Athletics
