Regions of Greece

The regions ( _el. "γεωγραφικά διαμερίσματα", lit. "geographic departments") are the traditional (and until 1987 official) subnational divisions of Greece, still widely used in daily discourse. There are 10 regions [See the map of the National Statistical Service of Greece / NSSG (Εθνική Στατιστική Υπηρεσία Ελλάδος / ΕΣΥΕ).
