The Snoop Sisters

The Snoop Sisters

"The Snoop Sisters" was an American mystery television show that aired on NBC during the 1973-1974 season. The show starred Hollywood film legends Helen Hayes and Mildred Natwick as two elderly sisters who routinely stumbled across mysteries which they solved.

Both Natwick and Hayes were nominated for an Emmy award for their work on the program; Natwick won. Only four 90-minute episodes of the series were ever produced. The series aired on a monthly rotation (referred to as a "wheel") as part of the "NBC Wednesday Mystery Movie", trading timeslots with "Banacek", "Tenafly", and "Faraday and Company". Of these series, only "Banacek" demonstrated any longevity.

Although the series did not last it made an attempt to cover timely material by featuring Shock Rocker Alice Cooper essentially as himself but called Prince in an episode entitled "The Devil Made Me Do It " which aired March 4, 1974 [ [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0703446/ The Devil Made Me Do It] "The Snoop Sisters"]

Trivia

Academy Award Nominee and star Paulette Goddard made her last acting appearance in the pilot episode, marking the end of a long career.
