"Flame & Citron" ( _da. Flammen & Citronen) is a Danish Drama/Action movie from 2008. The director and co-writer of the movie is Ole Christian Madsen. The movie is based on actual events and eye-witness accounts of two of the most active resistance fighters in the Holger Danske resistance group) during World War II, Bent Faurschou-Hviid (known as "Flame") and Jørgen Haagen Schmith (known as "Citron"), who both died during the war.

The two resistance fighters are portrayed by Thure Lindhardt and Mads Mikkelsen, and among the film's supporting actors and actresses are Stine Stengade, Peter Mygind, Mille Lehfeldt, Flemming Enevold, Jesper Christensen, Malene Schwartz, Lars Mikkelsen, Christian Berkel, and Hanns Zischler.

Production

The film's name

The movie is named from the nicknames of the two main characters. "Flame" refers to the colour of Bent Faurschou-Hviid's red hair, after an atempt to dye it blond.
