"Basket of Bread" (1945) or "Basket of Bread-Rather Death Than Shame" is a painting by Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí. The painting depicts a single piece of bread sitting in a basket. The basket nears the edge of a table. The painting resides at the Salvador Dalí Museum.

The painting was painted and completed in 1945. The painting is not to be confused with Dalí's 1926 painting "The Basket of Bread", created when he was 22 years old.
